Project Civil/Environmental Engineer

While I was attending Cal Poly Pomona, I became interested in the Civil Engineering Program they offered because they had a “learn by doing” philosophy that seemed fun. They were equipped with all the latest state of the art engineering equipment and laboratories; and as a result, I changed my major from Political Science to Civil Engineering. Engineering allows you the opportunity to embark in new and challenging projects, and the ability to solve their real-world problems. On a day to day basis, I love being able to work on different types of projects, and the breadth of experience I am exposed to in the Civil Engineering field. As a nature lover, I hope to contribute to improving the common practice methods of design and construction to limit the impacts development can have on the natural environment.
